La Sirena Cigars

La Sirena Cigars are a full bodied line-up, crafted by well known Miami Cigar and Company (MC&C). Known for their previous success with the Nestor Miranda Collection, their originality and superior smokes are represented once again in this line.
To add to the perfection, master creator Don Jose “Pepin” Garcia had his hand in blending and producing the fine La Sirena Cigar collection. Based in Nicaragua, the My Father Cigar factory with which Don Pepin Garcia calls home has created the first stogie of this strength with this line. The high quality result that was achieved may ensure that this isn’t their last.
MC&C was founded in 1989 by Miriana and Nestor Miranda. The success of the company is evident from their launch in a one-car garage in Cuba to current sales in the millions each year. Currently headquartered in Miami, Florida they now distribute throughout the United States.
Not only can their clientele expect to receive superior stogies, but MC&C takes their follow up support very seriously. They provide ongoing support to the tobacco retailers that sell and market their fine sticks.
Paired with the expertise of tobacco master Don Jose “Pepin” Garcia, the results are sure to be phenomenal. Don Pepin is also based in Miami and is well known for his one of a kind, high quality blends and construction.
From the early age of 11 he was gaining valuable knowledge and experience in the industry alongside his uncle. He learned the skills of rolling and was highly recognized for his talents and speed as a torcedor.
After calling Nicaragua and Cuba home, Don Pepin came to Miami in 2001 and launched his very own cigar business, El Rey de los Habanos, Inc. Despite his short period of time in a leadership role, he has not wasted any time putting his name on the map by creating notable blends for major tobacco companies nationwide, including La Sirena Cigars.
Upon their 2010 debut in Chicago, La Sirena Cigars were in high demand. Named for the beautiful and mythological “mermaid” of the sea, this line of smokes is comprised of only the finest tobacco.
The filler is a blend of Nicaraguan Criollo ’98 and Nicaraguan Corojo ’96, while the binder is a unique mixture of Nicaraguan Corojo and Nicaraguan Habano tobaccos. The wrapper is a dark hued Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro.
Don Pepin believed Nicaraguan leaves were comparable to the fine tobacco of Habano, making them his prime selection. The line is available in five distinctive ocean inspired vitolas, including the Sea Sprite 5.5 by 42, The Prince 5 by 50, Divine 5.5 by 52, King Poseidon 6 by 60, and the Trident 7 by 50.
A distinguishing trait of these superior sticks is the oversized band that encircles them. The multi-colored outfit is said to take up about two thirds of the flawless length, while not overpowering the appearance.
While there is a wide size variety of La Sirena Cigars to select from, this blend is said to not be for the casual smoker. These affordable full-bodied smokes are intense in flavor from the pre-light rituals to the flawless and satisfying draw.
Flavors such as pepper and sweet cocoa emerge and keep any experienced smoking connoisseur wanting more. Both the creativity of Don Jose “Pepin” Garcia and the quality production of MC&C are represented within this one exquisite collection. And this is a collection that every aficionado should be eager to try.
